What do you wish to know of me? That I was born in 1690 in a small Sicilian town, or that I accepted the Proxy Kiss in 1716. Perhaps that I spent my time as a ghoul continuing my studies into vampirism [both fact and fiction], the human mind, possessions, sex and anything else reported to be demonically inspired. No?

Very well. I have a great deal of difficulty accepting that an evil being lurks in a dark, burning pit sending people impulses and changing ordinary folk into murderers and rapists. After all, godly men fall from grace while pagan peoples do just fine when they are left alone. I have come to the conclusion that people are simply just afraid; setting rules for themselves that they cannot possibly follow, swearing allegiance to a king they can never meet or some other equally improbable deity, and then wondering why they are miserable.

This attitude attracted the attention of my sire, the lady Lucretia Giovanni, and in 1754 I was Embraced into the Clan. The Embrace did not change me much. I continued my studies and refined my necromancy, until 1920 when I was sent to Boston to aid the resident Giovanni. When the former head of family operations was offed in 1921, I assumed leadership of the family's interests. My first order of business was to reassign or dispose of the former don's minions and institute my own. So far, so good.

Nota bene: I am not Andreas Giovanni. He is a character created by White Wolf games for the Vampire Chronicles, who allow humble players such as I to bring him to life in games.
